about
“ As a performer and DJ, the absence of dancing and communally experiencing music has made life feel all but complete. ‘It’s Going To Be’ is an outpouring of the excitement I feel for the return of what has been so sorely missed.
The song presented itself out of the blue, the first two verses and most of the structure came in an afternoon, and by the following afternoon it was written. It then took a good few weeks of rehearsal before I was able to faithfully recreate the parts I could hear in my head.
In the words of Gary Bartz ‘music is my sanctuary, music is my life’. In hard times music is what I turn to, it is my sanctuary, truly. I hope this song and its sentiment can help conjure fond memories of the dance floor, before we can all come together in celebration and share a feeling face-to-face, body-to-body”. - J. G. Ramsden
lyrics
I've been doing my best to be patient
Waiting for the day to come
When these sedentary feet can slide and shuffle and spin
Out on the floor
With all of my friends
Oh it's gonna be so, so good
It's gonna be, it's gonna be
So good
So, so good
So good
It's going to be
My body bristles with anticipation
I'm so ready to feel those sweet musical vibrations
That will unify us
And mend the hurt
After all, music is the healing force of the universe
And it's so, so good
Well, it's gonna be, it's gonna be
So good
So, so good
So good
It's going to be
There's only so much more that I can do
Sitting here in my cell of silence and solitude
But
I will not allow despair to descend - no
For I know that soon we will be dancing together again
Yes dancing together, dancing together, dancing with you again
Oh, it's going to be so good
So, so, so, so, so, so good
Yes it's going to be, it's going to be, it's going to be so...
Good....
